A 40-year man from Christopher Lake is in jail after a serious assault was reported in Red Wing on September 29.
Prince Albert RCMP were called to a home in the community just north of Prince Albert at 8:15 pm.
There, they found a man with serious injuries and EMS took him to hospital.
The investigation showed that a fight between two men happened in a home and the victim was seriously assaulted and forcibly confined.
He was able to escape and get help.
Arcand was arrested on October 1 just before 10 pm and has appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court on charges of aggravated assault, forcible confinement, having a weapon for a dangerous purpose and unlawfully causing bodily harm.
He remains in custody until a show cause hearing scheduled for October 7.
