Members of the Prince Albert Police Service and Prince Albert Fire Dept. were called out Wednesday afternoon to a fire Wednesday on the train bridge.
The fire occurred on the south side of the bridge, not far from River Street.
Fire crews were able to extinguish the flames in a short period of time, however there was noticeable damage to a number of bridge beams.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
A spokesperson for Carlton Trail Railway confirmed five bridge beams were damaged, but added there was no expected disruption with service.
More details will be released when they are available.
