A Prince Albert man has won $100,000.
According to a media release from Saskatchewan Lotteries, Darren Soloman won the second top prize on the Extra of his Lotto Max ticket from the June 9 draw.
As explained in the release, Soloman only checks his lottery tickets when he has multiple. On the morning of Aug. 21, he decided to check his stack of tickets while he was getting gas at the Lake Country Co-op Gas Bar on 16th Street. He went into the store and used the in-store checker and discovered one of his tickets was a winner.
“I was in disbelief,” laughed Solomon.
As shocked as he could be he double and triple checked the ticket to make sure before he took it to the counter to confirm it was a winner. He does not know what he will do with his winnings yet.
